Jarred Beaujean, LPC

Jarred is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Houston, as well as his Master of Science in Clinical Mental  Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Jarred specializes in working with children ages 3 and up but also strives to help adults and couples find meaning, connection, empowerment, responsibility, confidence, fulfillment, and happiness in their lives. Additionally, being a former student-athlete, Jarred is extremely passionate about working with athletes. Jarred is passionate about creating a safe and non￾judgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel accepted unconditionally, heard, understood, and cared for. He believes that this environment can help facilitate client growth at a faster pace.

Jarred believes the human experience is unique to the individual and these experiences are affected by how the individual thinks, feels, and behaves. He works from a cognitive-behavioral approach with teens and adults but incorporates play and activity therapy when working with younger children. Jarred believes that clients will have greater success reaching their goals by actively participating in the therapy sessions as well as incorporating the skills and techniques they have learned into their everyday lives. After all, therapy is a temporary process, and clients will be better able to adjust to life without therapy if they start practicing what they have learned now.

Jarred believes that self-care is an extremely important component for his clients, as well as for himself. Jarred practices self-care by exploring nature with his wife, Meagan, and his dog,  Oakley, coaching his youth basketball team, playing football, basketball, soccer, and tennis, teaching and practicing Krav Maga (mixed martial arts), reading books, engaging in artistic activities, and socializing with friends and family.
